How to forward an email for a full scan
Forwarding the original email gives CheckTrusted more information than copy and paste, including sender details, link clues, and hidden email headers.
Send suspicious emails to
scanme@scan.check-trusted.com
After you forward the email, we’ll analyze it and send a result back to the forwarding address.
Choose your email app
The goal is simple: open the suspicious email, choose Forward, and send it to scanme@scan.check-trusted.com.
- 1Open the suspicious email in Gmail.
- 2Tap or click the three dots near the message.
- 3Choose Forward.
- 4Send it to scanme@scan.check-trusted.com.
- 1Open the suspicious email.
- 2Tap the reply arrow at the bottom of the screen.
- 3Tap Forward.
- 4Enter scanme@scan.check-trusted.com and send.
- 1Open the suspicious email in Outlook.
- 2Click Forward. If you only see Reply, open the extra options menu.
- 3Send it to scanme@scan.check-trusted.com.
- 1Open the email you want checked.
- 2Look for Forward, usually near Reply or inside a three-dot menu.
- 3Forward it to scanme@scan.check-trusted.com.
Tip: Do not click links, open attachments, or reply to the suspicious email while checking it. Just forward it to CheckTrusted.
